Margaret River 2014 cabernet sauvignon get’s the thumbs up from Ray

by | Aug 11, 2016 | Red Wine

The West Australian wine editor, Ray Jordan lifted the profile of our 2014 Margaret River cabernet sauvignon this morning. We’re really excited about the fruit quality from our Miamup Road property, and according to Ray, things will only get better. Here’s what he had to say:

Paul Conti is one of the stalwarts of the WA industry, still based in Wanneroo but these days drawing a lot more from vineyards in Margaret River. This is from Conti’s vines down at Margaret River. Given the quality of this fruit I have no doubt we’ll start to see some very good wines from this block. Love this one, with its distinctly fruit-driven composition. Juicy and ripe, with loads of appeal. A little dollop of malbec appears to have added that lick of juiciness and floral character on the finish. I reckon it’s moved up a notch in the past year. 92/100
