Our estate varietals, including fortified and sparkling wines, is made from the highest quality, low-yielding, hand-picked fruit grown at our family vineyards and selected growers located along Perth’s northern coastal strip.
Each vineyard site was carefully chosen due to excellent maritime conditions and fertile Tuart-over-limestone soils which results in wines of superior natural acidity and balance.
At our Carabooda vineyard, planted in 1980, chenin blanc, shiraz, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon and muscat are grown.
The homestead Woodvale property was established in 1927 and although there is less evidence of vines today, we are excited about small plantings of nero d’avola. This is a light, medium-bodied Italian red – also known as “the most important red wine of Sicily” and Paul Conti was the first WA vigneron to bring a nero d’avola cutting into the State.
It is currently maturing in barrel so watch this space for its special launch date.
The Medici Ridge range is another arm to our premium varietals.
Consisting of shiraz and merlot, it was originally introduced exclusively for the cellar-door and export market and was designed to showcase the best of WA outside our own estate vineyards. The range was intended to represent the unique and stylistic qualities of each variety’s terroir in two contemporary and modern wine styles.
