Margaret River Chardonnay 2023
$28.00
The 2023 Margaret River chardonnay is hand-picked from two vineyards made up of both Clone 95 and Gin Gin clones. The established Grace and White vineyard is grown on meticulously managed classic Margaret River gravel loam in Cowaramup.
This contemporary chardonnay exhibits all the hallmarks of the cool South West. Lifted stone-fruit and apple flavours are balanced by subtle lees and hints of smoky oak. Cellar confidently – this wine will develop beautiful toasty characters over time.
Paul Conti Wines Margaret River 2016 chardonnay
Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, 25% fermented and matured in new French oak for 4 months. The varietal definition is not in question; the oak plays a support role for texture and flavour alike, leaving it to white peach, nectarine and melon to do the heavy lifting. Crisp, citrussy acidity freshens and lengthens the finish. An A-grade bargain. Rating: 92 points Cellaring: to 2024. James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2018
